This is an essay I wrote about geography of Spain and Portugal.

Spain and Portugal have cultures that are tied to the sea. Their history is more closely tied to Mediterranean countries than to France and Germany. Spain and Portugal had over six wars in the last 500 years. Spain and Portugal have cultures that are different from their neighbors in Europe because their location isolates them.

France, Germany, and England cover the mainland in Europe. They all have similar cultures history because they are all close to each other. Germany has the Alps, the highest mountain range in Europe. France has the Eiffel tower. England has a history going back hundreds of years; England still holds a constitutional monarchy, with the Queen of England.

Because of the isolating geography of Spain and Portugal, they are farther away from the rest of Europe’s culture. The Pyrenees and the Iberian Peninsula is one of the reasons why Spain and Portugal is so physically isolated. They are surrounded on three sides by the ocean that keeps them from the rest of the world. They are more related to the Mediterranean then the rest of Europe.

This is an Animoto video I made about agriculture in the Peruvian Andes.

The Peruvian Andes crops are mostly of the fruits and vegetables and are of the most unique crops they have grown. The vegetables they used were mostly potato shaped foods. And the fruits were mostly small and delicious.
